In this four-part series we are looking at people who were away from home in the nativity story.  Week two focuses on the shepherds.  They were away from home because they were outcasts.  They were the lowest rung on the societal ladder and were best put somewhere where no one would have to have contact with them.  But the angels and the message came specifically to them.  Christ is not afraid to touch the untouchable and to love the unlovable.
