Seek After Jesus

Happy New Year everyone.

As we jump into 2022, we, of all people, should be filled with optimism, peace and joy. We have so much to hope for, so much to look forward to.

Our Lord Jesus is on the move and no pandemic is going to slow Him down.  Our main goal is to see where God is moving and then join Him in His work.

This last Sunday, I preached on Psalm 33.  I wanted to look at where we have been as a church, where we are now and where we are headed in this next year.  If you didn’t get a chance to be there on the weekend, you can watch the service here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BR2fliBV4s0

Psalm 33 gives us the foundation we need to move forward in this new year.  Here is my summary statement of that Psalm:

The best thing we can do is praise God and rely on His Word because His plans will last forever.  We, on the other hand, are weak and mortal, therefore we will hope and trust in the Lord.

Maybe you might come up with a different summary statement.  If you do, I’d love to hear it.

The bottom line is I want to seek after Jesus as an individual and I want us to seek after Him as a community of believers this year more than we ever have before.

We are kicking off the Experiencing God study next week and I am really excited that so many are joining in on that.  If you’d like to be a part of it, please let me know.  I don’t want you to miss out.

We are having our first Worship and Prayer Night of 2022 on January 17th at 7pm at the church.  I’d love for you to come on out and join us that night as we pray for God to help us be who He wants us to be.  We will pray for the church as well as for individuals’ needs.

This Sunday, we are kicking off our Boot Camp 2022 series (https://youtu.be/LHlZ4IHQZFg).  I will be teaching on Jesus’ habit of solitude and silence.

I hope you have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

            I love being your pastor.
