We Are

Who Are You?

Most of the time when someone asks us that question we'll give a short description of who we are.

We define ourselves by so many things. We talk about our job, about our family, or the things we do.

But when we walk away from the conversation it can all feel hollow. Those things are part of our lives but it's not who we are.

We want our lives to be more than just punching in for our nine to five. We want our lives to have meaning.

You are more than your bank account, your house, or your job.
You were made for more than this.

Grow in your relationship with God.
Go and change the world.

As a family Alliance Community Church strives to be people who are
Growing in Christ and Going in Christ.

We want to grow in our relationship with Jesus, knowing Him more, allowing His life to change ours. Out of that growth we want to go into our world and through the power of the Spirit, share the life of Christ.

Our Story

Alliance Community Church is a member church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada and the Western Canadian District.
The church was established in January of 1993, initially meeting in the Sylvan Lake Community Center

In 1996 we relocated to the former BHL Lumberyard and services were held in the renovated retail space.
In 2004 we moved into a new building on the same property, our current location.

We started holding worship services in Eckville, AB in November 2011, as our second location.

What To Expect

We are a diverse Church family and we strive to pursue Jesus in unity together. At a Sunday Morning service you can expect to be engaged in worship, community, Biblical teaching and prayer.

Our congregation has a wide variety of tastes so our worship reflects that. Our teams play everything from modern contemporary worship to bluegrass. We are a community who genuinely love each other, you can expect to be warmly welcomed into our family. Each week one of our pastors brings a Biblically-based talk on a wide variety of topics that affect our lives. We believe that prayer is foundational for all we do, so you can expect to engage in times of corporate prayer during our services.

At our service you can expect to be loved and accepted for who you are, and you can expect to grow in your relationship with God.

Why not plan your next visit?

We Love Your Family

We love families at Alliance Community Church. You can expect your kids to feel welcome and at home in our Church. If your baby or toddler decides to stay with you and they get unruly, it's absolutely okay! We love the life kids bring to our services!

If your kid would like to take part in our Children's ministry, we have an amazing team of volunteers who care for our kids each week and help them grow in their relationship with Jesus. All our volunteers are screened and approved through our Plan To Protect process and we use a sign-in system called KidCheck so you can rest easy knowing your kids are safe and secure.
